Indiana United Methodist Children's Home is licensed by the Indiana Division of Family and Children to serve children ages 6 to 18. Candidates for placement can include, but are not limited to:

  • status offenders
  • non-violent delinquent offenders
  • children who are experiencing difficulties in the educational setting, both academic and/or behavioral
  • children who have a history of alcohol or drug abuse but are not in need of inpatient substance abuse treatment
  • children who have completed inpatient psychiatric or drug/alcohol treatment
  • victims of emotional, physical, and/or sexual abuse or neglect
  • children from dysfunctional families where a child cannot develop in a healthy manner and children with various behavior and emotional problems.

The average length of stay is six to nine months.
