Campus Views

Indiana United Methodist Children's Home is situated on 14 acres in the heart of Lebanon, Indiana. This campus like setting includes six living units, a dining room, activities center, school and chapel.

Youth enjoy family style meals served in the Home's dining room. Many of the boys and girls attend group counseling sessions in the adjacent activities room of Asbury Center. The two oldest living units were constructed in the mid 1950's and continue to be a safe, calming environment for boys.

Originally known as 'the woods' this tree lined area of campus is presently occupied by three living units. Several times a week the boys and girls participate in the campus work program. Maintaining the lawns, planting flowers and shoveling snow are all included in this program geared to teach youth responsibility and the value of good work.

Gress Memorial Chapel was dedicated in 1987 and is the headquarters of the Home's Christian Education program. Youth are required to attend two services each week. Close to 80% of the boys and girls are also involved in one of the voluntary programs.
