Indiana United Methodist Children's Home
Admission Information

The majority of boys and girls placed in the Home's care are referred through county agencies such as the Division of Family and Children, Department of Education or the county court systems. Private placements are also considered when a concerned parent, clergy member, guidance counselor or mental health professional contacts the Home on behalf of a child and/or family.

Requests for admission may be made by telephone or letter. At the time of initial contact a pre-admission interview can be arranged. An application for admission will be sent following this initial contact. This evaluation may take place in the child's home, current placement location or the Home's Lebanon campus. The decision about admission will be made within 24 hours. An admission date can be scheduled at the time of notification. When a resident's hometown is located some distance from Lebanon, Indiana, we may agree to do a direct admission after the interview. Any of the following information is helpful if available: child's social history, any psychological /psychiatric evaluations, any substance abuse assessments, medical history and current immunizations, educational reports and school records and current progress reports from current placement when applicable.

Inquiries should be directed to the Admissions Social Worker Telephone 765/482-5900
